How to manually update bank balances

On Asora, where bank accounts are linked, balances are automatically refreshed daily as long as the connection remains active. However, there may be occasions when manual updates are necessary, such as when the connection is unavailable or if an account has been inactive for an extended period.

Where there are multiple accounts/balances to be updated, importing the data is recommended. In the import file, the Account ID will be the Bank account's ID as stored on Asora, and Asset ID will be the bank balance ID, which can be found in the Account Card in the holdings section.

Alternatively, individual bank balances can also be updated directly on the platform. The video below shows how one can manually update a bank's balance for a particular date.

Step 1: Open up the account card by searching for the account on the universal search, or clicking on it via Connections or Datahub.

Step 2: Go to the Holdings section within the account card.

Step 3: Select the date you wish to update the balance for on the calendar widget within the account card.

Step 4: Click on the three dots on the top right corner of the screen, select Edit.

Step 5: Double-click on the units field to enable editing, then type in the balance.

Step 6: Click on Save

To update balances on multiple dates, change the date on the calendar widget in the account card and follow steps 4-6.
